“Honoring Christians who have been making a great impact in the society especially in this Covid-19 period”

UTUMISHI BORA AWARDS is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates those transforming society through their service. The ultimate aim of the award is to provide a platform for Christian Professionals who have served in an exemplary manner to be celebrated and acknowledged in public. By doing so, we contribute towards the implementation of chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya that promotes servant leadership.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Centre (WEEE Center) emerged as first runners up at this year’s Sankalp Africa Awards that were held virtually early this month.

THE SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Grand award (Mtumishi Bora): this is the overall award, dubbed Mtumishi Bora. The awardee in this category must have exhibited cross-cutting qualities in the above categories.
  2. Leadership: the awardee in this category must have demonstrated strong leadership and influenced in the society and left a legacy in their spheres of influence.
  3. Mentorship: must have empowered people by educating and teaching through his/her unique contribution.
  4. Pioneering/innovation: must have initiated a new profitable Christian venture.
  5. Research and writing: must have been involved in investigating, surveying and establishing fundamental Christian truth and authoring a great book that sets people free from all forms of bondage.
  6. Integrity: must have demonstrated honesty and strong moral principles, faithfulness and maintaining a value-based lifestyle.
