Earth Hour
Earth Hour has always drawn its power from the people - and this year is no exception.

Earth Hour is a global environmental campaign that encourages individuals, businesses, and communities to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time. It was started by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Australia in 2007.

The campaign typically has been promoted as an opportunity for people to show their concern about climate change. The WWF states that Earth Hour provides a way for people to take positive action on climate change by reducing their carbon footprint.

In 2021, it was estimated that over 192 countries and territories participated in the Earth Hour.
